Best routes around the city for a Sunday long run?
Looking for something scenic around 12β15km. I usually do the canal path but want to mix it up. Any suggestions from the group?

The riverside loop through the park is brilliant β flat, well-lit, and about 13km if you extend past the bridge. Highly recommend it!

+1 for the riverside loop. There's also a great trail run starting from the north car park if you want something a bit more challenging.
Anyone targeting a sub-25 5K this season?
I've been stuck at 26:30 for a few months now. Would love to find a training partner who's aiming for a similar goal β happy to share my plan!

Favourite recovery tips after a long run?
Did my longest run yet last Sunday β 18km! Legs were wrecked for two days. What does everyone do for recovery? Ice baths? Stretching routines?

Foam rolling and a good protein meal within 30 mins make a huge difference for me. Also β don't skip the easy walk the next morning!

Cold shower straight after, then elevation for 20 mins. Sounds brutal but works wonders. Congrats on the 18km! π
Monthly social run β route vote!
